You’re invited to attend the Gatwick Health Expo in The Catholic Parish of Crawley, The Friary Hall, Hewlett Avenue West, Crawley, West Sussex, RH101HR being organised by Gatwick Seventh-day Adventist Church.

This year’s Health Expo theme is “NEWSTART Healthier Lifestyle”. The Expo will be held on 22nd October 2022 from 10:00 am until 16:00 pm. Several other local dignitaries are expected to be coming to the Gatwick Health Expo.

Through our Church’s Health Department, we aim to cater for body, mind, and soul; we endeavour to cultivate the whole person's health. As we educate people in this area, we hope they will share and spread this knowledge, encouraging others to a healthier lifestyle.

We have the acronym NEWSTART for a healthier lifestyle (Nutrition, Exercise, Water, Sunlight, Temperance, Air, Rest and Trust). We strongly believe in the importance of preventive health. We aim to promote early detection, screening, and preventative interventions to help people protect against health risk.

This year’s Expo will feature Kitchen & Health Eating, Counselling, Health Age & Lifestyles Education & Advice, Blood Pressure, Diabetes Management Checks, Cholesterol Checks, Breathing, Peak Flow testing, Exercise & Weight Management, Resting and Sleep Hygiene, Health Teeth and Dental Health, Professional Health Advice by Doctors, Kids Drug Education, Christian literature, Books, Music and other events.

The Adventist Church Health Expo is a tradition that we have carried on at a low scale. During covid-19 pandemic our GAC Food Pantry has catered for members in the community in need. Our work is always designed to give back to the community what the community gives to us; just being part of us. At the Expo people will receive a health check without having to get an appointment through the NHS. Recommendations will be given if people need treatment by their GP.

There are no tickets. People just show up and get attended to on a first-come-first-served basis.
